What Lasts Isn’t Always What We Think…

What Lasts Isn’t Always What We Think…

Here I am, preparing for my coaching session. Because yes, effective coaching doesn’t happen by chance. Every session is a unique space where we explore, question, and transform.

Today, my client arrives with a deeply ingrained belief: what appears fragile is always more vulnerable than what seems strong. Like a porcelain vase handled with care, while a sturdy object is left on its own, without much attention.

But over time, an unexpected truth emerges: it's often the object we thought was indestructible that deteriorates first. Why? Because it was neglected. Because we assumed it would hold up effortlessly. Meanwhile, what seemed fragile endured—precisely because it was cared for.

Relationships, self-confidence, well-being… they all follow the same principle. Just because something looks strong doesn’t mean it doesn’t need attention. And just because something appears fragile doesn’t mean it’s destined to break.

What truly lasts is what we choose to nurture and protect.

And you—what are you taking care to strengthen today?
